How long are moving slots?

Our crews will work until your job is completed. Moving slots typically range from 2-10 hours, depending on the size of your move. Extremely large moves can be done over 2 days if needed! We can also hold items in our safe a secure compound overnight for a small fee.

What moving supplies are provided?

We provide blankets, clingwrap, and floor runners at no additional charge!

Is your trailer enclosed?

Our trailer is fully enclosed and customized for moving year-round!

Are you insured?

Yes, we have all the insurance required to safely and legally provide moving services in Manitoba. This includes general liability insurance and cargo transportation insurance. All of our employees are legal residents and are covered under the WCB.

Are my belongings covered for damages while under your care?

Basic liability for movers required by law in Canada is $0.60 per pound. We believe that this is not nearly enough, which is why Calculated Moving Inc. guarantees every item moved up to its current market value.
This valuation policy includes full value coverage of any breakables such as glass panels, lamps, and TVs. This policy provides our customers with extra peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong, a fair value will be given for any damaged items. To avoid any potential damage, we wrap items using cling wrap, tape, and blankets as needed; these consumables are included with every move.
We also provide all tools required to disassemble and reassemble large items such as bed frames and plastic bags to keep hardware safe and organized during transport.

What is your cancellation policy?

We are happy to accept cancellations and reschedules with a reasonable notice period!

There is a $100 fee for cancellations less than 48 hrs before a scheduled move.

There is a $200 fee for cancellations less than 24 hrs before a scheduled move.

What payment options are accepted?

All crews come equipped with a card reader that accepts both credit and debit cards, we also accept cash, cheques (for commercial moves only), and E-Transfer as valid forms of payment.

When is payment required?

There is no deposit required to secure your local booking; full payment is collected upon completion of the move. Long-distance moves are subject to an agreed-upon deposit prior to securing the booking. This deposit is non-refundable as it covers preparation time related to applying for permits, checking regulations, and organizing accommodations for our crews.
